Anonymous Bullying Reporting Helps Encourage Reporting Of Bullying

When people have to be concerned about having their name revealed to people who are bullying them, they will end up avoiding to report the bullying action. This is when people should know about how the anonymous bullying reporting makes it easier for them to report the action, but also avoid any type of retribution from the bully. Without this, people will have the same fear of being belittled or even bullied more because of the reporting they have done in the past. Anonymous Bullying Reporting Provides Protection Typically people when they report any type of bullying the first action they think is what will happen to me when this is reported. The reason for this fear is people end up having the experience of their bullying being exposed and when it has been reported the bully finding out who did the reporting. Since this is the case, people will fear for their safety or think the bully will come after them even harder than what they did beforehand. By having the anonymous reporting, people will not have this fear of reporting the bullying. Instead, people will know they are going to have protection from the bully because no one will know who reported the bully for doing what they did. For example, the person who did the reporting could have been the person being bullied, which is likely, but it could also have been one of the bullies friends who does not agree with what the bully is doing to other people. Without the anonymous bullying reporting, people may have fear of being the next target of the bully. Provides Information On The Bully A major problem people have is they do not know what the bully is doing. For example, some of the things the bully may be doing is mentally abusing people and this could be something which is not well seen because it is done behind closed doors or when other people cannot see or hear what is going on. However, by having this type of reporting, people will have a chance to get the reports of how the bully is acting and know it will be properly addressed and taken care of. Something else which people can provide is the name of the person doing the bullying, where they are doing the bullying at, and even how the bullying is happening. So the person who is getting the information can set up some type of way to catch the bully in action and guarantee they have all of their ducks in a row before addressing the problem with the bully head on. Reporting Can Be Done Multiple Ways With this type of reporting, people will have a chance to report the bullying in multiple ways to people who need to know about what is going on. Normally people would only think they can report the bullying to a direct supervisor or someone in a position of power. However, with the anonymous type of reporting being allowed, people will have a chance to report in more than one way. In large companies, it could be done with a 1800 number which will let the company know what is going on at a specific store, without revealing any identities. For a smaller company or school, it could be a hand written note asking for a conference dropped into a mailbox which is located in a location which cannot be observed easily. Without the multiple reporting options being available, people may have trouble in getting the information to people who can help them. By not getting the information to the right people, the bullying could continue going on for an indefinite period of time and lead to people still feeling exposed when they do go to an authority figure for help. Bullying is something which is happening all the time and something which a lot of people are trying to protect themselves from. The issue people have is they can never seem to keep themselves from a bully because of the lack of confidence and security they have in reporting the problem they are facing. To overcome the issue, people need to know the benefits of using the anonymous bullying reporting. Once they know about these benefits, it will be easy for people to have the bullying action reported and know they are not going to have their identity revealed to the bully.
